The new legislation of 6 April 2010 obliges listed companies to set up a remuneration report and describes the elements that should be taken up in this report. This replaces essentially Principle 7 of the Belgian Corporate Governance Code 2009 regarding the remuneration.
The new grid is etablished to support the listed companies in the application of the new regulation of 2010 regarding the remuneration report. It replaces the earlier version published in March 2010, which still referred to the Belgian Corporate Governance Code 2009.
An important remark is that the grid is meant as a supporting tool for the application of the legal obligations, it serves by no means as a replacement of the legal obligations.
